August 1988 was the turning point of my life when the disastrous accident suddenly occurred and caused nearly 90 percent to both of my eyes. I was pulled to the pit of death valley. After a year of solitude, anger, despair and frustration, I slowly pulled myself together and started on my new passage. I learnt how to face reality and how to cop with uncertainty in life. I feel that I am fortunate that I don't have to live in total darkness. With the remaining low vision, I can still paint, print and write and do many things, as well as travel extensively. I am so grateful that my friends, family, student and acquaintances, especially Lee foundation, National Art Council and Very Special Arts, for their long term support and encouragement. Without their assistance, I would not be able & continue my passage in life and the arts.
